Kitty litter is an unfortunately by-product of having a cat. The least you can do is have the right scoop and make the task of cleaning up after your furry friend as painless and quick as possible.
If you need to clean up after a cat you should be doing it with the DuraScoop Jumbo Cat Litter Scoop. Why pick the DuraScoop when there are endless number of cat litter scoops available, practically anything will work as a scoop, and you probably already own one? I’m glad you asked.
Solid Metal Construction
The Durascoop is entirely metal, so it’s built to last. Being aluminum means strong-plus-light (it’s what high-end bicycles and airplane exteriors are made from). Aluminum is non-corrosive and doesn’t rust like steel.
One main perk of the aluminum design is that it prevents what I call “cat litter catapult.” That’s when you are scraping up the litter and some of it is stuck on the bottom of the box. A plastic scoop will bend but then the litter will become unstuck, causing the scoop to snap back into position and shooting litter all over the place.
The Durascoop might be a $15 shovel for cat waste but if you didn’t know that and you saw it on the shelf at the MoMa store, you might think it was some kind of high-end deco gardening tool. Or maybe an ice scoop from the set of the Great Gatsby remake.
The style extends past the look to the thoughtful, purpose-built design of the product. It has a mirror polish so nothing sticks to it and it looks great for year and years.
The aluminum does ship with a molded rubber handle for grip and comfort, but that can be removed if you’d like.
The Durascoop is made and designed in the United States. This won’t help it clean up cat litter, but it’s something to feel good about.
