The pillow top does not stop the cold feeling that the air mattress and all air mattresses give you in the winter. The lack of material simply means there is a cold feeling the center, but this can be fixed by sleeping on a topper or an extra blanket.

Overall the Aerobed is a high quality air mattress that is a big step up from the budget and entry-level air mattresses most of us are used to. It should be acceptable for short term use for someone with a slight back issue and by seniors, or for longer term use by anyone else.
